Cookie Policy

Conectamos, Inc.  |  Last updated: March 1, 2026  |  Effective date: March 1, 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Conectamos, Inc. ("Conectamos," "we," "us," or "our") uses cookies and similar tracking technologies when you visit our website at conectamos.org (the "Site") and when you use our operations automation platform and related services (the "Services"). This policy describes what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control their use.

By continuing to use our Site and Services, you consent to our use of cookies as described in this Cookie Policy. You can withdraw your consent or adjust your cookie preferences at any time using the methods described in Section 6 (Managing Cookies).

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer, smartphone, or other device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to website operators. Cookies allow a website to recognize your device, remember your preferences and settings, and track how you navigate the site.

Cookies are not viruses or malicious software. They cannot access other data on your device, delete files, or perform any actions beyond storing small amounts of information that the website places on your device. Most cookies are temporary and expire when you close your browser (session cookies), while others remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them (persistent cookies).

1.1 Types of Cookies by Duration

  • Session cookies: Temporary cookies that expire when you close your browser. They are used to maintain your session while you are logged in or navigating the site.
  • Persistent cookies: Cookies that remain on your device for a specified period (days, months, or years) or until you manually delete them. They are used to remember your preferences across visits.

1.2 Types of Cookies by Origin

  • First-party cookies: Set by Conectamos directly on the conectamos.org domain. These are used to make the Site and Services function correctly and to improve your experience.
  • Third-party cookies: Set by external services and partners whose content or functionality appears on our Site. These cookies are governed by the privacy policies of the respective third parties.

2. Similar Tracking Technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use other technologies that work similarly:

  • Web beacons (pixel tags): Tiny images (often invisible) embedded in web pages or emails that track whether a page was visited or an email was opened. Used to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Local storage: A web browser feature that allows websites to store data on your device beyond what cookies can store. We use localStorage for your cookie consent preferences (e.g., remembering that you accepted cookies).
  • Session storage: Similar to localStorage but data is cleared when the browser session ends. Used for temporary UI state.
  • Fingerprinting: We do not use device fingerprinting techniques for tracking purposes.

3. Categories of Cookies We Use

3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies

These cookies are essential for the Site and Services to function correctly. Without them, features like logging in, navigating between pages, and using secure areas would not work. Because they are strictly necessary, they cannot be disabled through our cookie consent tool. You may disable them through your browser, but doing so will significantly impair your experience.

Cookie Name Purpose Duration Type
session_id Maintains your authenticated session while logged into the platform Session First-party
csrf_token Security token to prevent Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) attacks Session First-party
auth_token Authentication token for keeping you logged in across page navigation 30 days First-party
cookie_consent Stores your cookie consent preferences (stored in localStorage) 1 year First-party

3.2 Functional Cookies

These cookies enable enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third-party providers whose services we use. If you disable these cookies, some or all of these features may not function properly.

Cookie Name Purpose Duration Type

3.3 Analytics Cookies

These cookies help us understand how visitors use our Site and Services. All data collected through analytics cookies is aggregated and anonymized. We use this information to improve the Site structure, content, and user experience. Disabling analytics cookies will not affect your ability to use the Site or Services.

3.4 Marketing and Advertising Cookies

4. Third-Party Cookies and Services

Some cookies on our Site are set by third-party services that appear on our pages or that we use to provide functionality. These third parties have their own privacy and cookie policies, which we encourage you to review. We have no control over how these third parties use cookies or the data they collect.

4.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our Site. Google Analytics collects information anonymously and reports website trends without identifying individual visitors. We have enabled IP anonymization to mask the last part of your IP address. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

4.2 Stripe

We use Stripe for payment processing. When you proceed to checkout, Stripe may set cookies to prevent fraud and for secure payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.

4.3 HubSpot

We use HubSpot for marketing automation and CRM. HubSpot's tracking code may set cookies to track visitor behavior on our public website for marketing attribution and contact management purposes. HubSpot's privacy policy is available at legal.hubspot.com/privacy-policy.

4.4 Intercom

We may use Intercom for in-app customer support chat. If present, Intercom sets cookies to provide real-time chat functionality and track support interactions. Intercom's privacy policy is available at intercom.com/legal/privacy.

5. Cookies in Our Platform (Authenticated Users)

When you log in to the Conectamos platform, we use additional cookies and localStorage to support the platform's functionality:

  • Authentication: Secure, HttpOnly, SameSite cookies maintain your session and prevent session hijacking.
  • User preferences: localStorage is used to persist UI preferences (theme, layout, notification settings) so they are consistent across sessions.
  • Feature flags: Session cookies are used to control which features are enabled for your account during phased rollouts.
  • Product analytics: We use privacy-respecting product analytics tools to understand feature usage patterns and improve the platform. This data is processed in aggregate and does not include the content of your data or messages.

We do not use third-party advertising cookies within the authenticated platform.

6. Managing Your Cookie Preferences

6.1 Our Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit our Site, you will see a cookie consent banner at the bottom of the page. You can accept all cookies or choose to only allow strictly necessary cookies. Your choice is stored in your browser's localStorage under the key "cookie_consent" and remembered for one year.

To withdraw or change your consent, clear the localStorage value (instructions below) and refresh the page to see the banner again, or contact us at [email protected].

7. Do Not Track

Some browsers have a "Do Not Track" (DNT) feature that signals to websites that the user does not want to be tracked. Currently, there is no widely accepted standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. Our Site does not currently respond to DNT signals in a technically standardized way. We continue to monitor regulatory and industry developments regarding DNT compliance and will update this policy if our approach changes.

8. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our use of cookies, applicable law, or industry practice. The updated policy will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the Site after the posting of changes constitutes your acceptance of such changes.
